Blank on the Map

Today's conversation was tricky and I felt like a bully with my questions.

But how should I inspire doubt in parties?…. how far can I go?… how do I do this elegantly, constructively - and when are we mediators just scare mongering vulnerable people?

However its supposed to be done, its this uneasy dawning of doubt that, for me, is one of the last great unmapped areas of the mediation terrain.

It’s in these unchoreographed moments - long after the opening set plays - that the job gets done...with no scripts, just shore lights a long way off to navigate by and no rules on how to get there.

But I do know if I can somehow awaken doubt within unyielding parties, I will make landfall.
