Just like those people who turn kitchen chairs around and peer over the top of them when they speak to you, one side of Friday's table sat with laptops front and off centre, creating a gaping digital divide.

When they went to say something, they sort of sideways glanced at the screen as if reading a teleprompter and when the going got tough, the tough hid behind 15.4" UXGA widescreens.
